A shared maintenance fee is a handling fee paid to Eternal food bank distribution center by Distribution Partner agencies in return for services provided to them by the food bank. The function of the shared maintenance fee is to support the operating costs of the food bank. This fee includes storage, staffing, transportation, utilities etc.
Distribution Partners are required to pay their monthly shared maintenance fee whether they order food or not. Being a distribution Partner member requires them to meet this commitment. Shared maintenance fees credits are accumulated when fees are paid but no food orders are placed.
SHARED MAINTENANCE FEE CREDITS: These are food poundage credits that accrue to distribution partners as soon as the minimum monthly shared maintenance fee is paid.
Can a distribution partner pay more than once, the minimum monthly shared maintenance fee in order to receive higher food poundage credits when they have higher food order requirements?
Yes, but they can only pay at their partnership level and this has to be communicated to the distribution partner services department of EFB to confirm if the additional food requirements can be supplied within the time frame they require it.

This is a voluntary contribution from distribution partners and not their minimum monthly maintenance fee . A freewill donation is the one distribution partners voluntarily make to support the Food Bank just like any other non-distribution partner organizations would do. This donation can be made on our Donate Page.
Alternatively, any desired donation could be mailed to:

1. A church, ministry, or any other Christian faith-based organization does not have to be a distribution point partner to be able to order foods for events and outreaches. However, they have to become a member of the distribution partnership and pay their minimum monthly shared maintenance fee to be able to order food.
2. All levels of Regular Distribution Partnership have the option to order at their partnership level or below for outreach purposes . This means that if a church or ministry does food outreach weekly, fortnightly, or more frequently, they can decide to use their monthly food allocation for the outreach purposes. The only condition is to have the approval of the food bank for such arrangement.
3. A Regular Food Distribution Partner (a distribution point to clients), in addition to being a distribution point, may also decide to embark on  periodic church or ministry food outreach. In this case, they need to contact the food bank for special food allocation to meet their outreach needs.
4. If a partner has chosen a lower participation level and has an unexpected higher level requirement for any particular month, EFB is still able to accommodate such a partner depending on food availability.
5. When a partner has chosen a level where they do not exhaust all the poundage allocation for each month, they can use the accumulated poundage in their membership when they have unexpected higher food requirements by just notifying EFB.
6. Each partner can apply to change their participation level after spending six (6) months on their current level.
For Regular Distribution membership:
Note: Every Agency starts at Level one, and will be upgraded to the next level up based on:
1. The average total number of people served monthly
2. Monthly report record and the promptness of turning the report in.
3. Promptness in payment of membership fee
4. After a successful program partnership of at least 6 months at each level.
5. A good partner’s audit report as carried out by EFB’s audit team
A Periodic distribution member/partner may change status to become a regular distribution member by downloading and completing application for regular distribution membership. The application forms are available below under Distribution Partner Resources listing.
All orders for food are placed only from our website. Click on each product you desire and place order not exceeding (may be below) your current agency food allocation.
All agencies can only order their maximum allocated food poundage for each month. All food orders for each month must be received by the 5th of the same month in order to be processed.
Food delivery will be done through EFB’s marked truck on specific days of the week at the allocated time slot. Please download the current food delivery
