School/Church Youth Groups/ Community Groups/ Corporate, Individuals & Families Volunteer Opportunities
We always welcome different groups coming to volunteer at EFB. This could be organized for a time slot during the week (complete FORM 2 below) or during one of our weekend Service Project times (Complete FORM 1 above)
NOTE: You must read and sign our volunteer agreement (at the bottom of this page) and bring along with you on the day of your volunteer work.

Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks (for schools, churches, or corporate groups) before your desired date. To check shift availability please provide the following information below and we will confirm a date with you:

Individual or Family Volunteers (This includes individuals from Volunteer Groups e.g NCL, ACL, Churches etc.)
To sign up for individual, family or group volunteer opportunities that are available during the week ( Wednesdays and Fridays 11.am to 1.pm, and 2.pm to 4.pm). Please complete (FORM 2 above) and we will confirm a date with you.

Mandatory Service Hours
This refers to court or probation -related community service, or required hours for government-funded programs
People who have received a court order to perform community service, or who must perform community service, may complete their hours at the Eternal Food Bank.
We do not accept walk-in Court Ordered Community Service Volunteers.
A request form must be downloaded from our website and completed, brought along to the food bank on the day of registration.
Please note that generating a completion letter takes about one week. The sooner you complete your court ordered community service hours the better.

SERVICE AREAS IN EFB
Below are the areas where volunteers are mostly needed on day to day basis:
Administration
This is a huge field where many talents and skills are needed. This area includes but not limited to, data entry, filing, computing, stocktaking, mailing, scheduling of volunteers, and other human resource management, etc.
Food sorting, and Packaging
Volunteers are very handy in processing donated foods for packaging. Foods are checked for expiration, dents, leak etc, and are grouped accordingly in process prior to packaging into our various food boxes.
Food Drive
Organizations, and individuals collect food to be donated to the food bank for onward distribution to the needy in the community
Food and Nutrition experts
Teaching people to eat right and be healthy, and fit is central to EFB Food and Nutrition education program. We welcome seasoned food and nutrition professionals to join our team in order for us to provide balanced services to our clients.
Accounting
Accounts reconciliation, payment of bills, etc
Media
Advertisement placement on radio, Newspapers, Website management/maintenance, any other assignment that may be of benefit to the media unit of the ministry.
Maintenance
This is anything from building maintenance, to maintenance co-ordination, including some donated appliances that may need some light maintenance work to be done.
Pick up/Delivery
This is driving to pick up donations or ordered food products for the food bank. It also includes food delivery to our community food distribution points.
