ETERNAL FOOD BANK CORE VALUES

At Eternal Food Ministry, we stand as believers to obey the word of God by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit; as such, all our activities are underpinned by the following bible passages among others:

  • Christianity is a call to service (Ephesians 2:10)
  • The great commandment-to love God with our all, and our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30)
  • The great commission-to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20)

 

Statement of Faith

The leadership and members of Eternal Food Ministry are committed without reservation to the statement of belief as herein set forth.

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
  2. We believe that there is only one God, eternally co-existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory.
  1. We believe in total  depravity of mankind, and to be saved, people must confess their sins and receive Jesus  into their hearts.
  2. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  3. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, people who are saved unto the resurrection of life and people who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  4. We hold the doctrine of great commission dearest to our heart and pursue it using contemporary potent methodology of addressing physical needs to meet spiritual one.

Evangelism:

  • The Great Commission (Matthew 28: 19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
  • 1 Peter 4:10-As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Testifying to the saving work of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

Service to God almighty: To Glorify God and lead people to His kingdom

  • Serving God through serving others with everything we have got. Isaiah 58:6-7
  • Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind and with all your strength.

Fellowship: Building a Community Sharing truth in context of loving relationships.

  • Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

Discipleship: Building Disciples, Pursuing Christ-likeness as evidenced by a changed life.

  • Colossians 1:28 & 29 We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me.
